The Jump’s Cassidy Hubbarth, Ohm Youngmisuk and Chris Haynes break down the NBA’s season-opening slate, with the season opener for 2018-19 being Philadelphia 76ers vs. Boston Celtics — which could be a preview of the Eastern Conference finals — and the second game featuring Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Golden State Warriors, a rematch of former teammates Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

  10. Raptors vs Spurs should have been on some type of holiday but because Spurs are a small market and Toronto is in another country I don't think NBA would make as much revenue as with teams like Lakers, Warriors, 76ers, and Celtics.

  18. I really don’t understand how the 76ers are seemingly better than the Raptors after ONE season in the past five years being in the playoffs and bearing a Starless Miami Heat squad, then losing in 5 to a depleted Celtics team. Hello? The Bucks at least pushed them to 7… The Raptors added a top 5 player in Kawhi Leonard as well and whose to say we count out Indiana? We did last year and look how that turned out 🤔. Face facts the 76ers lost depth in 3 point shooting, clearly Saric and JJ are the only guys who can actually shoot on that squad. Good luck playing high volume 3 and D teams like Boston and the Raptors

  24. Raptors v Celtics.

Philly has 0 chance of making it to the 3rd round unless Toronto and Boston somehow meet in rd 2.
